Protonord, an innovative company based in northern Norway, specializes in developing custom solutions that enhance functionality and efficiency, particularly within the constraints of FDM-based additive manufacturing (AM) technology. Recently, Protonord introduced a prototype solution aimed at boosting efficiency in clinical laboratories, specifically for the Pentra 400 clinical chemistry analyzer used in gastroenterology. They designed a modular test tube holder system to address the size mismatch in the original holder, which reduced the analyzer’s capacity by half. By creating precisely fitting, modular holders, Protonord restored the analyzer’s full capacity, significantly enhancing the lab’s testing speed and accuracy. Additionally, they designed a custom transport tray capable of carrying six holders, enabling lab technicians to move multiple holders efficiently between rooms. This prototype system has streamlined workflows and saved valuable time in sample processing, demonstrating Protonord’s commitment to practical, high-quality solutions that meet the unique needs of its clients.
