Byldis
Byldis, headquartered near Eindhoven in the Netherlands, is a leading company specializing in off-site construction solutions, particularly in engineering, precast concrete, and façade technology. With over 50 years of experience, Byldis offers an alternative to traditional construction methods, focusing on high-rise buildings across Europe. Their integrated approach encompasses the entire construction process—from initial design and manufacturing in their factories to on-site installation—aiming to halve the construction time compared to conventional methods.
During our Eindhoven city trip, we visited Byldis and observed their innovative integration of 3D printing into their manufacturing processes. Notably, both the 3D print lab and factory floor personnel actively collaborate to identify workflow challenges that can be addressed with 3D-printed solutions. Beyond creating scale models, Byldis utilizes 3D printing to produce components essential to their operations, such as molds for precast concrete elements. This approach enhances efficiency and fosters a culture of continuous improvement within the company.
